Just finished an amazing weekend at this resort in Ohio. Cousins trip!!!! I came from Texas and my sister from Colorado to meet our cousins for a weekend. Can't say how much it was worth the time spent getting there. Beautifully maintained!!! Amazing Zipline tour.. guides were patient and inspiring when we were apprehensive to make the journey. Thank God they were.. we LOVED it!!! There are so many activities to do. They even had trick or treating and hay rides for the kids. There are cabins both large and small, RV hookups, and camping. The staff was so kind and inviting. We were fortunate to meet the owners, Larry and Lisa who are top notch good people. Highly recommend this resort!!!

My family went to Tall Timbers today, I have to say I haven't been there for about 40 years. It's a great place and I could see so many improvements that have obviously been done over the years. It is well kept up. However where my disappointment falls is there were too many people to socially distance. We got there around 11 and it was easy to socially distance but by 1:00 you had let so many people in that it was impossible to distance even though we tried. You have signs all over the beach and loud speaker announcements telling people to socially distance but you will need to limit attendance for that to happen. Very disappointed in the concession stand. It took about 20 minutes to get our food once ordered and there were only a couple people in front of us. The food comes out very sporadically and sits there getting cold before you are called to the window. To top it off at 12:30 you were out of several things. No ketchup, no hot dogs, no corn dogs, no coneys, no lettuce for walking tacos, no candy. I mean really how do you not have any of these on a Saturday at 12:30 pm. No one comes out to wipe off the tables and the women's restroom was very unclean.

Algae is growing and the kids are swimming in it. It smells really bad. They need to do a better job managing the algae overgrowth and cleaning the water to prevent kids getting sick.

Stay away from this campground. I made a phone reservation more than 3 weeks in advance on a Sunday. They didn't have the weekend I asked for available, so I booked the following weekend. 5 days later, they called me to ask if I had made a reservation with them, Then they asked me what size my camper was, then asked me what date I resquested, Then proceeded to tell me that they made a mistake and didn't have a site available, But they were nice enough to offer me a \Full refund\ LOL ummm it was your mistake! You should of offered a discount if I would book another date. Three hours later they call me back again needing my credit card number again, because they couldn't get my refund to go through. They had no problem when charging my card! Wow, These people shouldn't even own a kool-aid stand. UPDATE ! After reading the response from the owner, I'm going to give them another chance in the 2021 camping season. I appreciate the fact that instead of making excuses, He is striving to make things better. This is the type of businesses that I enjoy doing business with.... I will update my review after our visit next year. Thanks again for reaching out with your response.

My friend and I went and stayed the staff wasnt snobby at all, they were very helpful and accommodated all our needs and wants. We had our own lot even while primitive camping so we had a fire ring, picnic table, we had an electricity box, right on the lake in front right next to the bath house/bathroom. We had a great time adventuring all over the resort, it was very clean and beautiful out there. We had the best relaxing time! This is coming from two younger women. Its a great place to get away at. If you need anything you can drive 10mins up the road to New Philadelphia so you arent far from everything. A lot to do with children if you have any. It's for Tent camping, RV, Mini cabins, large cabins, cottages. They have a swimming area, slides, paddle boats, zip lining (which was down due to covid at our time of stay) We got to meet the owner he was a great man nice sense of humor and very friendly. He took the time out of his day to take a couple pictures of us. I'd suggest this place to anyone. If you're into hiking there's a few trails near about 3 miles or so away well worth it. I'll definitely come back
