This is a Harlem staple that does not disappoint! Cam'ron spoke highly of this place too Food- Delicious, Ambiance - Spectacular, Service - solid and quick no complaints. Price - Moderate. Easily accessible via train, parking didn't look too hard to find for Manhattan, but Harlem is hit or miss. I had the chicken and waffles, wow. I don't always eat all of the skin from fried chicken, but here, I was scraping it off the bone. Waffles were ultra fluffy. The combo of this chicken and waffles with syrup is def a treat, making your taste buds transform into taste best friends. All meals come with cornbread, yum. Nothing insane but I am biased because cornbread is not everywhere in NY. Ambiance just oozes cool.. Painted murals throughout of Black excellence, amazing. It's worth a check even if just for the art and design. Part of the draw here is the feel of a local, hometown spot that didn't go corporate. You can be comfortable here without trying to keep your elbows off the table. People often complain about gentrification when it strips neighborhoods of those special businesses/ restaurants that give it a distinct character. Amy Ruth's is a remaining gem that didn't, and hopefully won't ever go that route

I love this place. I visit this place frequently again due to deliveries and I must say that I've never had a negative interaction in all the times that I visited. I realized that I'm one person and by now I'm a regular so the staff knows me but I'm sure that my experience would translate to other patrons. It's a shame that indoor dining is closed because the atmosphere is so much more livelier when they have people actually dining in the location. Unfortunately now it's very empty however that does not affect the quality of the food, or the customer service. I wholeheartedly recommend this place for those that are visiting Harlem and want an authentic taste of \soul food\. They even have vegetarian entrees
One the best soul food establishments I’ve ever had the pleasure of experiencing!!! The food is always phenomenal and the wait is never exorbitantly long. If you want to know how to keep customers coming back, take notes as we live an hour or more away and frequent this spot often.
Good food! Pricey but good! You need to eat here at least once! The place is a landmark.
