Hello, easiest review ever. You like cheese? They age their own here. In a cave and everything. You can have meat to go with the cheese. You can have cheese after the meat. I wasn't kidding about easy. Each visit, I've expected the large, noisy dining room to result in poor service from waitstaff, but each time they've accommodated additional guests, made complimentary substitutions, and just been delightful. Artisanal. Go.

Been here a few times, the brunch we had was okay, had a croque monsieur but had better elsewhere (Bistro Magritte) but the main reason for coming here is the for the cheese and specifically the fondue. I could eat that all day long! There's several different choices you can have for the fondue. Having had two of the choices I liked both. The one annoyance is how much they charge for the fondue and the dipping items. 15 for a small pot of simple stir fried chicken, seriously?!? I guess it's the usual cost of renting the space in Manhattan and the restaurant is large, with plenty of seating. Some of it outdoors. One thing that was worth 5 stars was the special nameless chocolate dessert they had. It was divine, I wish I had taken a picture of it. So, if your server offers you some dessert special and it's chocolatey, I recommend you say yes to it.

Unique experience to share with business associates and family. Super quality cheese. I learned to experience and later love stinky cheese here, an amazing experience that brings me back every six months. The service is impeccable too. My only complaint, they have a reduced selection of the really stinky cheese, no stinking bishop for example.

One of my best friends and I love this place for its special Fondue Festival month. They craft a menu with a different fondue recipe available every day throughout February. This year, we swooned over a delicious mixture of blue cheese and honey. Their classic Swiss cheese-style fondue is quite good. It is expensive though so I recommend saving this place as a special occasion spot.

awesome atmosphere! You feel like you are in Paris. It can get packed, but once you get a seat, get ready for a great meal. It took awhile for the food to come, but was great. Get the STEAK AU POIVRE! Classic. And of course.. try all the cheeses! and take some takeout cheese for later in the night. Good wine list.

Really great cheese selection, with a fun staff that will walk you through the expansive cheese menu to find the right ones for you. The cheese/meats are well done and reasonably priced. Also really loved the Mushroom risotto. Pretty big place, but reservations are a good idea.

I am giving them a one star rating as they are try to cheat on the credit card. Not sure how they manipulated the system but my friend and I split the bill and gave them two separate cards. The printed receipt had the correct, amount, but on the credit card statement, they charged me in full. And charged my friend in full too. Have they been cheating their customers for years? I have been there many times and now I wonder. The food is good, there is always a crowd, so check your online statement against your receipt.

This restaurant is known for their cheese items (fondues cover a giant section of the menu, and cheese itself covers an entire page of the dessert menu), but for those who (dare I say it?) hate cheese (raises hand), there are plenty of options. Unfortunately, many of those options are pricey and are much too salty. The mushroom risotto is probably the best option for those opposed to cheese, as it tastes much more delicate and lighter than the other entrées like the steak and mussels. The dining room is lovely and grand, though, and the service is attentive and kind for the most part.
