Brothers guitar shop is an awesome addition to the neighborhood- a much needed music shop on the Upper East Side. The crew is passionate, attentive and dedicated to getting great instruments in their customers’ hands. I recently acquired a Gibson acoustic guitar at the shop. Beautiful guitar very carefully chosen. The guitar was expertly set-up and prepared before it left the shop— all in time for a performance nonetheless. As a serious musician this is the kind of reliability you need in a guitar shop. Even beginning guitarists will find plenty to chose from with the great selection at Bros Guitars! Highly recommend.

Recently picked up a sweet Epiphone Casino Coupe in great shape for a very fair price from Joey. He even included a setup that I can come back and have done later. I'll definitely be back to Brothers Guitar Shop. Love the location.

I heard about the shop last summer when my friend told me he got a summer job working here. At the time, the shop was in the back of a hardware store. I instantly fell in love with the place and began taking my guitars to be set up here. The guitar tech, Joey, always does a great job at setting up your guitars. He listens to what you want and will adjust your guitar free of charge after it has been set up. I've never had a bad experience here. I would describe this store as somewhat of a community center for musicians. Everyone in the store is enjoyable and welcoming to be around. I feel less like a client and more like friend when I'm at this store. The brothers Shawn and Frank will do their best to accommodate you when you visit this store. When I asked Shawn if they had a particular kind of guitar pick and he didn't, he ordered the type that I like. Now I have an excuse to come to this store more often to buy guitar picks. Best thing about this place is that the staff members believe that a music store should always have someone jamming. The guitars that they have on display are amazing pieces. They have a lot of vintage and unique gear that you can't find in any local Guitar Center. If I could rate this store 6/5, I would. Support this store!

Came here to restring my acoustic electric, and since I've never restrung before, Sergio walked me through the entire process (very down-to-earth dude and super helpful). A genuinely chill vibe at this place; the kind of shop you'd expect to find roaming around Brooklyn. Ya gotta love it.

Was looking for a local place to get a restring and set-up for my guitar and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Joey is the man!!! Knowledgeable, personable, and an all around nice guy. I can't recommend this place enough. Brother's guitar and Joey are the real deal. Don't waste your time anywhere else. And make sure when you're there to ask Joey about his meeting with Slash!!! Thanks again you guys!!!
