Persepolis Reviews | Rating 4.2 out of 5 stars (5 reviews)

Persepolis is located in New York, United States on 1407 2nd Ave. Persepolis is rated 4.2 out of 5 in the category asian restaurant in United States. Persepolis Is a Persian/ Mediterranean restaurant with a dynamic atmosphere and 20 years of experience! The restaurant is famous for verity of kebabs and refreshing salads and gently spiced grilled meats. The yogurt and cucumber blended with a little mint is made exceedingly well and is an ideal cool compliment to Persepolis’ rounds of Pita & Barbari bread. Our kebabs which include moist and delicious salmon or saffron chicken are served without heavy sauces. Instead they are served with a choice of four rices including an intriguing blend of Basmati rice and marinated sour cherries. Our personalized wine list truly compliments our cuisine. We also offer a full classic bar. look forward to seeing you!

We tried out this restaurant as it was close to the Frick Madison and we both enjoyed our meal. We went for the lunch special that included a starter and a main dish Starting with grape leaves and hummus, the former was zingy in a good way but not too spicy and the hummus was pleasant too. For the main we had the basa fish in lemon sauce and a chicken kebab. The kebab was pretty standard but was glad I order the basa fish on a whim as it was lovely. Prices were good, pleasant restaurant decor and food was served very quickly. Would go again.

Our first Iranian food experience in NY. We got Soltani, Boorani, sour cherry rice and cranberry rice. Coming from an Iranian, everything we had was really tasty and delicious. The sour cherry rice was incredible, my American wife said it was her favorite part of the meal. Super friendly owner and wait staff and we felt very welcome. The tea tasted like home and the baklava was the best I’ve had in the US. Overall it is an authentic experience.

I’ve never ordered from Persepolis, shame on me. I ordered the lemon chicken, which came with this wonderfully silky lemon butter sauce. And a charred cooked tomato. It was absolutely delicious! Even the sautéed broccoli was delicious. Just a hint of oil and butter. Next stop, eat in (well, outside until NYC catches up with the rest of NYS). Delicious Persepolis, DELICIOUS!

persian food, mmm, very satisfying. I like it here, excellent food & service. Staff treated us so nice. The bill was fair for the quality of food. They have a lot of positive reviews for a reason.
