Randomly went to this place for lunch, didn't expect that welcome which they are Wonderful staff. Small place, very clean, looks nice, Excellent service. Tried and recommend from the lunch menu- Smoked Pork with spicy pepper, comes with rice and your choice of soup only for 4.95 . Taste awesome. I went again after a week to have the same dish. :)

Great alternative for soup dumplings when the usual suspects (shanghai Cafe, Joe's Shanghai) are packed. Quick service and more than enough tables fro a group. cheap beer and great prices for the portion sizes...

Better than Joe's Shanghai. My wife is Shanghaiese and thinks the soup dumplings are more authentic. The other dishes are much better too. Plus, on the weekends you can actually get a table in a decent amount of time.

The delivered meal arrived faster than estimated; however, the gentleman who brought the food made a scene about the amount of tip added to the card at the time of purchase & asked for more money. While I understand that the weather was cold making the job challenging, it was overall an embarrassing experience that did not reflect highly on the customer service. The food was fine but it was hard to ignore the bad taste left in my mouth.

Absolutely loved trying new dishes such as jelly fish w sesame oil as an appetizer and frogs as a main dish. Plentiful, great ingredients yet simple. A must try, at least once!

Delicious soup dumplings. The soup is inside the dumplings. Be careful it is hot and YUMMY. Cheap.

Ambiance - calm, though it was 1:30pm on a weekday, so not crowded Service - very good, polite, friendly Food - Soup Dumplings - pretty good: Medium skin thickness, they look a bit glob-like on the outside, but it tastes just fine Reasonable amount of soup Leaner meat with a bit of white cabbage Dumplings on paper not cabbage Fried turnip cakes - tasty, but not very turnipy, and a bit oily: Outside - Very light and flaky, with sesame covered bottom - yummy Filling - Not very turnipy, actually a bit doughy on inside, and has scallions and maybe tiny bits of meat

My family's "go-to" place for Shanghainese food!!! _ For me, the siu long bao is all about the perfect dough texture, meat flavor/tenderness, and soupiness as soon as you pop open the dumpling. ;) Sometimes they're not piping hot when it comes out, but that's ok with me! That just means it's ready to eat right away!!! Other dishes worth getting: - Choy Tieu Wong Yu (codfish-like fish that's fried in seaweed batter) - NOODLES - whether it's chow mein, lo mein, or with soup - Fried eggplant with pork
