Was looking for a couple of central Oregon coast retailers to give me bids on installing a wood burning stove in my garage/work shop. I called Coast Hearth & Home. Wasn't overly excited about what I would learn from them based on their reviews. Having done this kind of work for myself in the past I wanted to hear what they had to say. A very nice gentleman in a very nice vehicle arrived soon to take a literal second or two to look around. Then he proceeded to tell me things that I knew were not what I wanted or needed in my situation. And he gave me *ONE* option they supply for my needs. WAS NOT IMPRESSED.... Then I called Groth-Gates Heating and Sheet Metal. I spoke with Toby who offered an abundance of options for my needs. He even worked through his in-house guy who pulls permits for this kind of work to go a step further on telling me exactly how I can legally do the work myself again! From permit to final inspection! My home insurance agent had already told me it was required to be professionally installed in order to insure it. WRONG!!! Toby educated me to the extent I was able to call my insurance agent back to dispute her original claim -- to which she laughed and agreed that there would be no problem insuring my property if I did the work myself. And??? There would be NO rate increase to my homeowner's policy! Do your homework people! It always pays off. It's no wonder Groth-Gates Heating has such outstanding reviews! This company has already earned my 100% confidence and I WILL be working with them once I make my decision to move forward. Ask for Toby! Tell him the Scotsman sent you. You will be glad you did!

These people are amazing! There isn't anything that I can say negative about anyone that I've dealt with in the company. Andrew and Toby especially, are knowledgeable and so helpful! I couldn't recommend this company more!
Eric was the troubleshooter. He was great and put out strong effort. He was unable to repair, checked for parts, no luck. Next day call from office, SALES! We ended up getting rebuilt parts and repair for under 100.00 from other supplier. sorry and no thanks to groth gates and your COMFORT TECHNICIANS....
