This place is amazing! I love all of the amenities and the staff. They are so kind and the location is perfect! I have been here for 2 years and couldn’t ask for a better place to live.

Lived at Sterling from 2018-2020. 18-19 was an absolutely awesome experience but then the new management took over for 19-20. Became the worst living experience ever. I transferred rooms and was given a room to live in that was completely uncleaned, had a damaged desk chair, damaged wall from mold, and damaged carpet. After seeing this, I informed them I was going to live at a friends place for the next week. I had expected it to be completed by the time I returned and they assured me it would be, however it was not and no progress had been made! Eager to find a place to live, I once again informed them of my situation and only then was it partially resolved. Took all day for them to clean it and leave the place in a semi-livable condition and they ended up getting paint all over my pillow cases! I told maintenance to just leave the carpet, come back with a desk chair another time, and that they didn't need to finish the paint, due to waiting MORE THAN A WEEK to have a place to move my things into. Worst part of the entire experience: they charged me for all the damages from the previous tenant! I was able to get the desk chair and wall paint removed from the charges since I had a photo, but since I didn't have a clear photo of the carpet, they're charging me 300! Management claims they're all about COVID safety procedures which is why they kept the amenities closed all of 2020 but they walk around without masks on and host events in the lobbies! If you're looking for a place to live, it seems like you missed the 2018-2019 window, and you should strongly consider other options!

This is my first year as an ASU student and my first time leasing with an apartment. My experience with Nine20 has been great! I love the community board on the Residential website, the amenities, but also the weekly snacks! Its close to ASU and to fun activities in Tempe. The maintenance crew are respectful, nice, and on time! The leasing team was also very nice and patient with me. I could only imagine how fun and supportive the apartment was before COVID, great place!

My daughter became ill and had to come home from Arizona (attending ASU) and move back to Missouri. When Covid19 hit we decided she would not return to Arizona. The apartment had a waiting list and signed a new renter immediately and way before the lease was even to begin. Fast forward almost a year later and I received a bill for over 1300 for a sublet fee sent to collections to be paid today or accrue interest of 10% per day. I have perfect credit and believe I may have to pay this according to the lease contract. Only way out is death according to the office. I have been in business and customer service my entire career and although i understand an agreement I also understand an act of God and illness. If the apartment didn't rent I would also understand bills have to be paid. This is pure greed to collect from 2 people for the same month with 0 regard for such a monumental situation such as illness and a pandemic. DISGUSTING! Update: I talked to my brother (an attorney) who suggested i pay it because getting an attorney in AZ would cost more than the collection. He said its hard to believe its legal for them to charge for an apartment that was rented months before the move in date but if its in the lease its in the lease. I PAID IT! RENTER BEWARE THAT THE ONLY WAY OUT IS DEATH, even if they aren't out a penny. out of the mouth of a sterling employee.
