I had a great experience. I didn't mind the fact that it took two weeks to do my background check and ask the necessary questions to make sure my new cats were coming to a good home. You can't place animals with just ANY OLD BODY. Just like child adoption, they take the necessary precautions. I am ecstatic at the lengths they take to provide me with all of the necessary information and guidance I needed with my adoption -- including their shots. My family is very happy with the new additions. My son is autistic and he has completely adjusted his attitude since their arrival. He is always looking for them now and that makes me very happy. My daughter is over the moon with excitement and even my honey has gotten super cozy with our new additions. Keep up the great work Kitty Cottage and do not be dissuaded by the negativity. You are doing the right thing by making sure you find the best home(s). Kudos to you all!!

Wonderful place to find and adopt a kitty! They are super knowledgeable about cats. They get to know each cat and can find the right match for you. No cages so the cats are socialized with other cats and people. We adopted a couple little guys from Kitty Cottage and they're a great fit for our family. The employees and volunteers really care and it shows.

It is so selfish to be closed when grocery stores, malls and now even restaurants are open. These animals don't know or care about anything other than finding a good home with a caring owner yet you deprive them of that opportunity because you can't take any precautions or assume a little more risk. You need to do what Is right for these cats and not live in fear. This virus like many others will not disappear and you may as well just shut down for good if you can't open after almost one year of dealing with this virus.

Since I am only 19 I have to have my mom as a co-signer which is fine, but because SHE was the owner of a cat and can not provide medical records of said cat which died 3 years ago, they are not approving my application (the vet center where the cat was put down could not even find record of that even though they said they hold records for 7 years). I paid the 20 application fee which is to prove I was serious about adopting, and it was my initiative to adopt a cat. I really do not appreciate that the only information they are holding against me is past information that was not even relevant to MY OWN personal experience with owning a cat, therefore I’d be happy to find another shelter that will allow me to care for a kitty. Also not to mention the staff was very condescending and rude on the phone so don’t even bother.

A great, nurturing environment with a truly caring, knowledgeable staff results in wonderfully socialized kitties. We met and fell in love with Dilly and Daisie O(hio). We chose them and they chose us! Thank you Brandi, Lori and everyone at Kitty Cottage for all that you do.
