I was super scared the entire week waiting for my appointment. Once i walked in those doors tbe security guard greeted me and every single woman in that clinic were THE most polite,understanding,and reasonable people i have ever encountered with. A couple ladies in particular made me feel somewhat special even though i was clearly going through it

Not using my real name for privacy. I had a surgical abortion at 6 weeks yesterday and I was so terrified. I didn't sleep or eat for a week because I'd heard so many horror stories about this procedure, but I'm here to tell you firsthand that those stories are almost certainly made up by people who are trying to scare you out of doing what's best for you. There were no protesters outside, just a very kind security guard who asked me if I was okay while I paced anxiously around the parking lot. All of the nurses were so incredible and listened to all the concerns I had, and the doctor helped me reframe my anxious thoughts before she started the procedure (which was so quick I couldn't believe it when she told me it was over). I feel great, albeit a little tired, today. I already feel like myself again; I have my appetite back and the depression I felt during pregnancy immediately washed away. I will, however, echo what others have said about the receptionist with colored hair - she was the first person I spoke to when I came in and she was very curt and not welcoming at all, despite the fact that I was obviously panicking. Aside from that one person, though, everyone else was incredibly kind and so good at their jobs. Don't be afraid of going here! They will take great care of you!
I have had nothing but 5 star visits with northland family planning in Westland. After a small hiccup due to miscommunication, the office manager contacted me personally and directly to address the situation and ultimately make the situation right. I truly appreciate the compassion and understanding this wonderful woman showed me today. It’s not always easy making the decisions we have to as women and said manager made sure to remind me that i am strong and my feelings are not going unrecognized.
Pink haired girl at the desk is so mean and Vindictive !!!! doctors have no empathy. emergency line would not answer all night. had emergency from 2 am to 7 am constantly called was told to wait until 8 and they will prescribe something. they will tell you they called back but never did. forced to go to emergency room. no insurance. failed procedure. finally get ahold of someone and emergency line after emergency room helps , Laura is so very rude. get told to return to office for follow up by north wood planning and was told i did not have an emergency and to get out when i complained about them not answering the emergency care line given in front of a few girls in the waiting room. please be careful and please go to the emergency room if you feel something is wrong , they may not answer the phone and even if they do the doctor is only in during normal hours. the pink haired lady at the desk was the worst customer service person i’ve ever met. she yelled at me that i didn’t have an emergency multiple times and tried pushing me out the door grabbing it and slamming it shut. they don’t care about you here. they are mean. and the doctors get offended when you test what they are telling you with what the emergency room clearly says. saying “ i specialize in this they do not “ i would recommend going somewhere else if possible
I had a great experience despite what I was there for. From the moment I got there, there was a team of volunteers that escort you into the building free of harassment from protesters. The receptionist with the colorful hair is rude and unwelcoming but I promise she’s the only person! The nurses were so sweet and respectful, they treated me with dignity. The doctor was amazing, she was very comforting and knowledgeable. If I ever have to do this again, I would choose this location.
