If there was a lower star than 1, I would have selected that. Yesterday my dog so sadly had to be put to sleep due to a heart condition. The members of this office should be ashamed of themselves for how they treated my family. We were told that we could not be in the building because the doctor was on “quarantine”. If you were truly on quarantine, how could have you have your staff present? This makes no sense, especially coming from someone in the medical profession. The receptionist was extremely rude and disrespectful on the phone and should reconsider her career field, because she does not belong working with animals or grieving families. This office does not have any care or compassion and frankly, has no business working with animals if you don’t have any emotion or compassion. I am completely disgusted with how this was handled, how the staff and doctor treated my family and forced my dog to be alone at the end of her life. We have already switched clinics we use for our other pets but want to help protect other pet families from going through the same heartache we have. Incredibly disappointed and disgusted with this office. And in response to the office messaging me to say they consider our family part of “their family”...this is how you treat family? shame on you.

Great Staff, Super Friendly, Nice, Caring, and Professional. Amazing Care for Animals, Affordable, and Extremely Accommodating. Northwoods Vet went above and beyond to help my dog Carter. We were on vacation for Thanksgiving break and he ended up having a stick puncture a hole under his tongue! He needed to go under and have it cleaned out and looked at as well as sewn up. The staff was absolutely amazing in seeing us right away. The doctor and nurses explained everything in detail, gave us all our options, gave us choices to minimize cost and were honest about what was actually needed amd what was more voluntary and precautionary. We got there an hour before closing and didn't have a full plan for treatment until a little before close. They didn't say a single thing about closing to us! They just said if we wanted to go ahead with the procedure they were ready to do it immediately! I was so happy and surprised at their kindness and willingness to stay what probably came out to be over 2 hours late when all was said and done with his procedure. I have never experienced such caring and kindness from any vets I have ever been to! Everyone here was absolutely amazing and understanding. From the front desk people to the nurse to the doctor! They were all actively involved in his care from start to finish and our dog is doing amazing for such a bad injury in his mouth! I couldn't have asked for a better place to bring my dog in crisis or for just something basic. We live 3 hours from here but will be using them as our vet from now on when we come up to visit and will arrange their visits around our vacations just so they can get their care here! I cannot thank Northwoods Veterinary Clinic enough for their help, time, understanding, and kindness! It means the absolute world to us to have people like you out there to help in our time of need! Thank you for all you did and do!! Keep up the amazing work that you do for families and their pets!!

I made appointments for both of my dogs for their annual exams and vaccinations. They said I can come in or wait in the car. I asked to wait in the car because I wasn't feeling well for awhile. I0 days ago, I had a negative COVID test, but I have been trying to stay away from people because I don't want to immediately follow up whatever I had wirh COVID. The receptionist said she had to call me back. A bit later, she called back and said they would have to push out my appointment for 2 weeks \for their safety\. Excuse me, what?? I clarified and asked if they were honestly requiring a 4 week wait between a NEGATIVE COVID test and an appointment. She confirmed that they would not be able to see my dogs (despite the fact that I requested to stay in the car to protect myself) for FOUR WEEKS after receiving a NEGATIVE test. We tried to keep our business local, but honestly, they are almost twice as expensive as other Vets. I am am permanently move my pets to another clinic.

Love this place! Moved to Green Bay and still go back up north for the vet. I recommend Northwoods Vet Clinic to anyone who has critter babies, with or without fur.
