I'm late to the mochi donut craze, thanks to the pandemic. Now that I'm vaccinated and made it to town, I made sure I satisfy my pent up desire during this trip. After sowing my foodie oats at the nearby New World Food Court, I located Taiyaki 2 blocks away inside the Queens Crossing. I was the only one right after it opened at noon. I ordered the Cruncha Matcha, which has the mocha glaze topped with Rice Krispy. I didn't have a "warm" fuzzy feeling when she took one from the storage box. And my hunch was correct, the donut didn't feel freshly made as it wasn't the least bit warm and it was tough outside. So much for being the first customer for the day, only to get the leftover from the previous night. Not sure the exact arrangement, but I think the donuts were made by The Dough Club but sold via Taiyaki NYC. In terms of taste, it wasn't overly sweet which was a good thing. The mochi inside made the chew doughy; however, there was a bit of a funny (yeast?) after taste which I didn't like. All I can say was it was a disappointment for me in many aspects.

Came by for some sushi and saw that they were selling mochi donuts here at queens crossing! Great small bite after having lunch. Will probably stop by again soon. Got the purple pebbles and black sesame, the flavors are intense but it was such a light treat! Ate both within 5 minutes!

The BEST mochi donuts Ive ever had. Their donuts hands down are amazing. Other brands taste artificial and cheap and don't compare

Wife and kids love these donuts. They’re not too sweet and have a shareable design. Highly recommend

The mochi donuts are truly a delicacy, and can only be called a thing of beauty. The taste is akin to the second coming of Christ-if not even better. 10 Mochi donuts out of 10, would recommend.
