We have eaten there twice and my husband requested it for a belated Father's Day treat. We find the food excellent, beautifully presented, a flavorful. I do not eat red meat but have found plenty to enjoy, especially the smoked fish. We are thrilled to have this stylish restaurant in our neighborhood. It is obvious the owners and staff know what they are doing!

A great place. Friendly helpful staff. English inn-like decor. Great unique drinks. Terrific food. Reasonable prices. Happy hours. A very pleasant place. Good location on Park Blvd in Glenview.

Not really pub food but inspired by it. Pub ambiance, super attentive staff, interesting and delicious food. What's not to like? Oh right, vegans won't like it; a few vegetarian salad things but this is really a place for meat lovers. Very good beer selection too.

England wishes they had British pubs like this one! Although one reviewer complained that this was an upscale "gastro" pub, trust me when I tell you that you will be most grateful for the exceptional attention paid to the art of cooking at this terrific new place. The dishes were interesting and original, and most importantly delicious, featuring to the maximum possible extent fresh and local ingredients. The menu is, indeed, pretty pub-like, but instead of being based on a soggy set of old tried-and-trues, it is inflected with the imagination, wit, and attention to detail found in only the finest of venues. Personally, I am delighted that Seamus, Shelly, and Brian chose my neighborhood in which to open the Growlers' Arms. Even given the fact that some good restaurants have opened up in Oakland over the past few years, of the ones I've been to, this one stands out!

This place is pretty great. I like to sit at the bar where you can watch them cook your food in a wood fired oven. Very interesting dishes and great drinks, the staff is awesome.

This has become one of our favorites in Oakland. The food is superb, atmosphere great and the staff is wonderful. For those bashing because they wanted inexpensive pub food (they have never made a claim to be that anywhere), there are plenty of those in Oakland and this is a great change! And in the end, it is really not all that expensive.

FIRST AND FOREMOST: The food is good--rich meaty stuff. The bar, beer, and wine list are good too. The staff is professional and solicitous. THAT SAID: I'm sorely disappointed. I EXPECTED A PUB: A good ol' pub. With a few hearty dishes, lots of great beer and a laughing, convivial crowd. INSTEAD IT'S AN "UPSCALE GASTRO PUB": That means dinner for two is 85-plus. I told my Scottish pal about their 12 haggis appetizer and he just shook his head. Upscale ... *sigh* ... I'm up to here with upscale. IN ALL FAIRNESS: Dinner was delicious. We had a couple salads, sides and an entree. They have a side of fries that must be cooked in fat--and wow are they good. BUT SO MUCH FOR NEIGHBORHOOD EATERIES: I don't mean to be snotty--or unsophisticated--but I was hoping for accessible not aspirational. I didn't see a single familiar face. SO GOOD LUCK AND ALL THE BEST: I'll be hanging out elsewhere.

Awesome place. The food is great, they have really good cocktails. I bit expensive though. A very knowledgeable bartender
