I hiked 10 miles of the Appalachian Trail and survived! Beautiful area. We visited the Upper Goose Pond Cabin which is .5 miles off the trail. If you're a thru-hiker you must stop for a day of peace and tranquil! Gorgeous and peaceful pond, great staff at the cabin, and you'll never know who you'll meet!!

One of my favorite places for recreation. Lots of mountain bike and hiking trails. On the west side there's the Housatonic River for kayaking. Not many take advantage of this great space. Kind of why I like it. Open to hunting and specific trails are designated for atv use.
