Good for kids
Decent view of the river & dam below, and you can see the Starved Rock Overlook across the entrance to French Canyon directly to the west. Not a terrible hike from the visitor's center; we did about 3 miles to hit French and Wildcat Canyons and the overlooks in about 1 1/2 hours.

The view is worth the hike, it's a wooden walk way with lots of stairs.
Beautiful hiking trails and Waterfalls. Great for family and friends.
One of the good places in ILLINOIS state. Good opportunity for trekkers. All scenic places are far away so you have to walk 6-8 miles to cover all points. Best to visit in fall season...............,.......................
The views here, both high and low, are awesome!
Great for family hikes. Beautiful view of Illinois River. Best not to use stroller since there are a few flights of stairs to climb.
