This is a great place to come for positive motivation in today's stressful world while gaining an understanding of the mind. Very welcoming and friendly atmosphere, comfortable environment with good Dharma conversation. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for some peace of mind through insightful meditation.

I left feeling happy and rejuvenated. I also loved everyone there, super nice people and messenger. Can't wait to go back.

I've loved this place ever since I first visited it ten years ago. It's close to downtown Olympia, but on a quiet street. The meditation hall is super cozy, the social area feels like a little family room, and the people are friendly, as well as being up for meaningful conversation. I always visit when I'm in the area.

I just read this and found it to ring so true—“ sometimes the bad things that happen in our lives put us directly on the path to the best things that will ever happen to us”. That is my experience in finding this Buddhist Center — in the aftermath of the worst and most stressful event that ever happened to me, I came to a Wednesday evening class and thereby began a transformative relationship. The Resident Teacher was incredibly kind and empathetic and I quickly began to feel the purity and simplicity of the dharma taught and the studied knowledge of the teacher. After studying Buddhism on my own for many years, It all began to make sense and my life began to change for the better. The members were easy to talk to, the atmosphere was serene. Although , if one does only a precursory look in social media there are negatives about the NKT ( which this center is part of), with a more thorough study one will understand the relevant history and the non- validity of the detractors reports. The problem with social media is that it can say anything no matter how spurious and false and harmful. This Buddhist Center has been the best thing that ever happened to me! AND I highly recommend it! It is an oasis of calm in a desert of confusion!
