I too have had no luck getting any response from the employment dept. I wanted to clarify though after reading several reviews: the EMPLOYER pays the contributions to your unemployment, not the employee! People really should check their sources before believing what they hear. It’s a common misconception. That somehow former workers are being kept from their own money. This is a fallacy. The employer always pays in to unemployment for their employees.

I have been waiting for 6 months for payment. And like so many others I can not get through the phone lines and have not had any sort of communication from them as to whst the problem is. I am beyond frustrated and I am now trying to find out where their main office is and physically go there and demand some answers. Worst government agency ever.

I am pregnant and due in December. I have been trying to get ahold of the unemployment department for months it seems, but I am always given their busy signal. I need the money to support my daughter, we're just scrapping by at the moment. Wish there was another way to contact them...

Have been paying into the unemployment pool my whole life. I was laid off due to Covid like so many others and was told that I might be ineligible for literally no reason.. immediate 12-16 wait time just to make a decision on whether or not they can pay me. That's 3-4 months. Absolutely disgraceful.

Ive been waiting 3 months for unemployment. Ive never gotten past the busy signal , I've called hundreds of times. I've never gotten a reply to an e-mail. I just keep getting letters saying they're not going to pay me for the past weeks and my case has been processing it for over 2 months. I think they want to make it look like they are processing claims so they're not as behind as they are and then they're going to go back and actually complete them (hopefully) so they just started the review. That's my theory, hopefully they realize people need to pay rent and eat food. This is a awful organization that we trust our money to, reminder our money that we pay into.
