Adoption is complex. American Adoptions did a phenomenal job of walking us through the process, matching us with our son's birth mother, and made sure everything went smoothly. It's an emotionally fraught and legally involved process, but as an adopting family I felt we were in great hands throughout, and I have been happy to see the support services they offered our son's birth parents have been strong as well. Even amidst the rising pandemic, they worked hard to make everything come together, and behind the scenes are still working for us to make sure things are perfectly finalized, that the birth-parents receive counseling and support, and that things are still going smoothly between us and the birth-parents. We have been very happy with their services.

We felt supported by each staff member assigned to us, from the beginning of the process to the end. Our placement happened about two months after we were approved, which is really quite incredible. Though American Adoptions is a little more expensive than other options, I suppose it's true that, at least in this case, you get what you pay for.
