I hired Mr. Allen to do my personal and professional taxes from 2013 to 2015 and by 2015 I began receiving letters from the IRS regarding my taxes that weren't done right. I had to track down Mr. Allen's family member to get them to correct the situation because Mr. Allen kept on claiming contiuous was medical reasoning for being out of the office. Mr. Allen never once responded nor did he apologize- the entire thing was extremely stressful. Please read the other reviews and see that he is not reliable and trustworthy.

I went to see him instead of H & R Block. They are expensive. I just bought a house and other different things from the previous year. Block asks about everything, in case you don't know what's deductible. He asked NOTHING. He told me I would get back 1.00 from federal, after receiving 2,000 - 4,000 in all previous returns. He gave no help, no information on what was deductible. Maybe because I'm a single woman, don't know. Going back to H&R Block. After going to H&R Block, I found my federal refund is over 5000,00, instead of the 1.00 That Mr Allen came up with. They found many deductions, such as widows deductions and both of my kids. When I notified Mr. Allen, he blamed me for not disclosing this information. I didn't even know about these deductions! He expected me to know the tax laws and what to tell him. It was a bad experience. Block told me he also messed up my 2016 taxes. He didn't apologize or offer to amend his mistakes.

Mr Allen and his staff did a great job helping me with the taxes for my small business. They were prompt and answered all my questions. They even mentioned some items I didn't know I could deduct. I highly recommend Daniel Allen and his associates.

Mr Allen and his associate James did our 2012 and 2013 LLC and personal returns. We have always done our own taxes but in 2012 we formed an LLC for an apartment we bought. For our 2014 returns we decided to give it a go and do them ourselves. Remember just because you hire a CPA doesn't mean your taxes will be done right! We have to file amended returns for 2012 and 2013. You see we didn't know how to file LLC taxes so we hired someone who we thought, would look at everything and guide us. One error, so basic that even I know now, you cannot depreciate land associated with the apartment. They depreciated the entire amount! His response was, \you didn't give us a value of the land\. When in my opinion, he should have said, \ we need a value of the land\. If we had know all the ins and outs in 2012, we would not have needed him and his associate! He did send us an email asking for other information, so I know he could have easily included this question! There were other errors like entering the wrong amount for our 2013 mortgage loan and such. Just beware! If you are going to hire this firm, PLEASE review everything before it is sent!! I take the blame for trusting a professional with very easy LLC taxes. Yes, he does seem like he has a wealth of knowledge, I think he or his associate just didn't care enough to put in the effort. PS. He didn't even offer to help with an amended return! Now we are in tax hell!!

Paid 1500 for tax services up front, and never heard from him again.
