Just want to be very grateful for Lanie and Laurie for staying open at this very very difficult time. I would like to remind everyone to be patient and kind COVID is no one’s fault. I and my daughter and now my granddaughter have be very happy and satisfied patrons of On Your Toes for years. They have taken care of so many dancers and have done an amazing job supporting and encouraging along with fitting each child as if they were the most important and talented dancer. My granddaughter loves to go and get her dance shoes dance outfits and gear. They are always so personable and make her feel so special A BIG THANK YOU to Lanie Laurie and her staff for working so hard though this very tough time Very much appreciate all you do and continue to do for us and all the other dancers Allison LeBlanc Amy and Madison Ogiba

I have been shopping at this store for my entire life. My sister was a dancer and I a gymnast our mother was able to purchase what we both needed in one store. Now as an adult my daughter dances and when ever she needs anything we pop in and they always have it. Btw they sell the best bun maker for thick hair. Today we go in for my daughter's pointe shoe fitting. Having been to one before for my niece I know how important they treat this day (even during the pandemic). I cannot recommend this business more highly.
If I could give zero stars I would. After waiting 45 minutes to enter the store and another 20 in the store before my three year old could get fitted for ballet shoes, we walked out empty handed. We shopped and finally had our number called. We sat down, told them what we needed and were told that they basically had no ballet shoes. It would have been nice if they communicated that to the customers. Knowing we were there for a shoe fitting and knowing they have low to no stock on those shoes, it would have been nice to have been asked before waiting. I walked out with a very sad child. I grew up shopping here when this was a small hole in the wall on Broadway in Revere and now I would rather drive a little out of my way to never step a toe inside again.
I have done business in this store for 9 years. Yes we are in some difficult times but this encounter should never have happened this way. My daughter is in school full time mon-fri 8a-3p. Store hours are 10-4. My mom trying to help me out brought my daughter from school straight to the store to find out they could not get shoes. She had a long conversation with Laynie the owner about these troubling times. My mother asked how can we my daughter sized for shoes since they are only open till 4p. Laynie told my mother to come back the next day, ask for her, and she would get them in. So she picked her up at school and came straight to the store. They closed the door and said sorry we can not accommodate anyone else today. My mother said Laynie told her to come back today and she would get us in. Laynie came to the door and shut it in my daughter's face and said we are closed and locked the door. Not only is that disrespectful but a horrible way to do business. My mother would have never come back if she did not have that conversation with Laynie. After spending thousands of dollars over the years in that store I will not be back.
