I'm the owner of Pens, Etc. I feel it necessary to respond to a recent post. Fernando De La Cruz wrote a very negative review about his employment with Pens, Etc. Mr. De La Cruz was never employed here. He worked for a temp agency on a temp to hire basis. After a reasonable amount of time Mr. De La Cruz performance did not meet our minimum expectations. We have a very loyal staff with some people working here for 30 years. We offer full benefits and a very lucrative profit sharing plan. We encourage our staff to perform as a team and reward the producers. I hope Mr. De La Cruz finds a company which is a better fit.
I worked with this company for years on the supplier side and you could not find any better people in the state of Arizona. They always go out of their way to match customers and manufacturers with the best deal possible!
If you want to be treated like a dog then go ahead and work here. This business establishment is by far the most disrespectful, degrading, unprofessional place that ive ever worked for.If you complain about being mistreated they dont care and will tell you something like \well i heard costco is hiring\ instead of caring or even acting like they care about how you are treated. Absolutely zero respect is givin to the warehouse workers from the people in the office. The two individuals who are in charge of everything are incompetent hypocrites who put themselves above you and act like they are above you when they definitely are not above anyone. The golden rule that everyone should live by is simply to treat others the way that they wish to be treated and no amount of money should ever put anyone above that rule. I worked here for about a year and i have seen so many people getting mistreated and quiting because of that. Just know that if you work here that you are indispensable to them and no matter how hard you work you will not be rewarded or respected by the management.They can try to say whatever they want but the fact remains that anyone who has worked in the warehouse will agree with me 100%. The owner dave is a good guy but he is never around, he is always out on vacation so its almost impossible to get ahold of him. If he was around more i bet this place would be a lot better.
I worked for this company. Now im not saying its a bad business but they arent a good place to work for. My work performance was non the less outstanding. I was always told i was doing a fantastic job and what not by the floor supervisor himself...In order to keep youre job at this place you have to swindle and kiss butt to guys who think they rule you. This is a privately owned company so theres no talking about issues in the warehouse. The owner is some guy who judges people by the way they dress. I had personally been judged for wearing a ASU T-shirt. Im a ASU fan. Totally unprofessional. The warehouae people know what type of guy they work for they just dont speak up about it... Enexcusable and by far the worst job ive worked for. Its summer time and im sure those guys are frying like eggs in that warehouse.
