Can't say enough good things about PAN! Have adopted 2 cats over 5 years. They are a NO KILL cat rescue group. If can't adopt, or foster, you CAN monetarily donate as pet vet care can get quite costly. Additionally, you can check the website and \Sponsor\ a specific pet(s)!

It appears as though they won't let Senior Citizens adopt younger cats because the cat might out live the owner. In our case we would have provided a home to my mother's cat should that have happened. Instead there is a cat still in need of a home. Makes me sad.

If you are looking to adopt a cat or kitten, this is an excellent organization. You can meet the kitties on the weekend at their Charlotte location. The people who run the organization are very kind and helpful. They carefully vet potential homes, which might put some folks off, but I like how serious they are about feline welfare. A great place.

My husband and I walked in. Two woman were talking near a cage in the back. When we walked where they were standing we saw 4 kittens in the cage and were asked if we wanted to see one. I said no thank you and went back toward the front to see a cat my husband and I were interested in. I opened the cage and placed the cat on me. The 2 women ran over and stated he was a runner I must put him back in the cage. He seemed perfectly fine. I replaced him in the cage , my husband and I walked out. We had wanted to adopt him but apparently this is not what the 2 woman wanted!!!! The cat's name was Bryson. Horrible experience, will never return.
