Reis River Ranch was a surprising bit of heaven. Kayaking in the early morning, hiking around the acreage among the cows and horses, and hot breakfast while enjoying the serene views. We came for a work retreat and worked a lot. The space was great for team building and for working together in small teams. Next time I come though, I'll plan to spend more time relaxing and enjoying the freedom from city life. Deborah and Dennis were beyond amazing hosts. 5 stars for sure!

Reis River Ranch is so tranquil yet convienent: it’s just off highway 101 but the topography is such that you don’t see or hear the highway. There are beautiful vistas of rolling hills with oak and eucalyptus trees. The sunrises are spectacular. Deborah and Dennis seem to really enjoy sharing their slice of heaven. It’s a perfect place to come and unwind!
Just 30-40 minutes from SF, but it feels as if I’m a world away. The accommodations are first rate, the property and horses are beautiful, the hosts-Deborah and Dennis are great people and the views are to die for. I feel like the fresh air has renewed me and I can’t wait to come back. Ps Deborah is a great cook, the food was delicious. Thank you for your hospitality!
Deborah and Dennis are amazing hosts. Spending time on their ranch is pure tranquility. Just beautiful.
I’m not sure it’s possible to adequately describe the whole experience at Reis Ranch, but here’s a try... From the moment you pull off the main road and watch the amazing landscape evolve, to the most charming greetings from Deb, Dennis and Meghan, to the excitement of climbing on one of their beautiful horses... this place, these kind folks, this whole place just aches “authentic“ (and welcoming)! Whether you’re here to learn from clearly one of the most learned and thoughtful horsemen alive, or you’re simply looking to escape to another time... look no further. Don’t get me wrong - this isn’t some kitschy “Old West” dude ranch... this a real place - worked and hosted by real people who obviously love their lives, their trade and their land. ...take my word for it - my soul feels lucky (and humbled) to have been invited in. Thank you to the Reis’s for sharing. ...your lessons on riding, communication, and spirit will continue to be applied to more than just the obvious.
