OIC is a great opportunity for young adults as well as older adults. you can earn a certificate in hospitality. I'm in the culinary arts program and it's one of the best thing that has ever happened to me.

The Hospitality Training Institute will always be near and dear to my heart! This is where I was given my career start by then GM Greg DeShields (who really knew his stuff). What they do for the public in their Hospitality training is unbelievably life changing! I’m blessed to have met and conversed with the late Rev. Leon Sullivan (visionary for this community necessity). I’d go back to serve as HR Director or VP in a heartbeat!

Sometime ago, I did a pop-Up visit, hoping to use this facility to assist with my job search. The guard was outside busy people watching & he advised the staff closes early on Friday...if I was in a welfare to work program or perhaps a Vet, maybe I would've made out better....Also these ppl Never answer the phone...Thank GOD for the Free Library!

Worst place in life they sell you dreams and tell you lies to get you to go so they can get funding for you and once you graduate you realize they lied. I came here soon as I graduated high school at 17 because I was the sole provider for myself, and needed a more steady job that brought in more income. The instructor for my course knew I was 17 and assured me 100% my age would not interfere with me getting a job in a hotel. Weeks prior to graduation from the program I was set to do my two week internship, then we discovered I had to be 18 to do an internship as well as work in a hotel or even in that field. Some may say it was an honest mistake, but it was not I was told that no matter what my age would not affect me, but to get funding for me I was just sold that dream that didn’t care about me having to provide for myself nor my circumstances. I could go on and on about my experience at oic all of which were absolutely negative, I provided you with one incident but could write a book on the treatment and mannerism of OIC. I honestly hope if you are reading this you reconsider and do your research. You will be told nothing but lies even the very president of OIC Dr.Johnson shows no remorse and is extremely fake, playing this give back to the community stunt for the camera’s but go there and witness they don’t care where you and up or how as long as they get their funding.
