A very professional, efficient and friendly outfit. Provided excellent service throughout the process of exploring the possibilities for solar on my house, designing and installing the array, permitting, linking up with the utility company, and setting up SREC trading. Everyone I dealt with was helpful , informative and friendly.
Solar States was fantastic to work with. Thea walked me through the design and system selection, the logistics and installation team were awesome. Really great communication through email and smooth throughout all the inspection processes and financials. I'm really glad I was assigned to Solar States through the Solarize Philly program!
Solar States installed panels on our Philly rowhouse in March 2019. We were happy with their work at every stage of the process, from the initial estimate through the installation months later. The installers were a very friendly and professional crew who communicated well and cleaned up all debris afterward. And having solar for this last year and a half has saved us a lot of money on electric bills in addition to (hopefully) lowering emissions from coal plants. Many months of the year we pay PECO only the 10 fee for being connected to the grid. In summer, our monthly electric bill has not been more than 30 (full disclosure: we don't have central air, only wall units). We're very glad we took the plunge to solar and especially that we went with Solar States for the install.
Solar-States is the real deal, complete package. From idea to design to engineering to build to inspections to dealing with the utility, they handled it all. This was not a panels on the roof type deal. The project was extremely unique and from the ground up. They never balked at any ideas we had...down to the lighting/switch placement. I had three companies on the property and they were the only ones I didn't feel were trying to oversell a system we didn't need for thousands of extra dollars. The job was custom, the price was right. They were able to match an existing pergola on the property with the style of our project. It came out exactly how I had envisioned. Done to budget in the original time-frame promised. Highly recommended. Thank you Solar-States!
