Really fun lake, good parking, picnic tables and Sandy Beach area to lounge around. The water is \tea-stained\ in color and the visibility underwater is very low (I estimate less than two feet visibility). I really liked the area, but the water has a slight smell that isn't pleasant and it can temporarily stain your clothes (don't wear white to swim in). The swimming area isn't huge, but it's big enough to have fun with friends/family.

Great place to visit in fall
Nice State Park with several nice hiking trails of varying difficulty. There are several pavilions you can reserve or just use if it's not too busy, and lots of scattered picnic tables. Campground sites are nice size, but you can hear a bit of traffic from the road at night.
Love having a swim, kayaking, or a picnic with the family here.
