Excellent Product! I recently purchased metal balusters for my house. We replaced our wooden balusters and put in wrought iron balusters from C.O. Iron Works. The timing and quality was amazing! I wanted to make sure that I got products from a North American manufacture ( not from Asia ). I shopped around and must say the prices were below the competition but also the quality was super. Thank You C.O. Iron.

I make metal yard art sculptures for friends and family. I have need for metal globes for heads, eyes, or other parts. Finding Custom Ornamental Iron Works on line has been an exciting addition to my materials inventory.

I purchased 7 basket balusters and 7 twisted rod balusters in June 2013 for my indoor stairs. The C.O. Ironworks, Inc. website showed photos of a relatively smooth finish (on my 27 inch iMac screen). I called the company 4 or 5 times and asked how rough the finish was. Their reps said it had a bit of texture, but was definitely appropriate for indoor use. I also paid a premium for the oil rub bronze finish, which the website showed as brown with light specs/sparkles. The representative said the color was pretty close to the photo. What I got were the most rough-looking cast iron balusters I have ever seen. When I say rough, I mean that the texture was gritty and the features inaccurate. Square shapes had beat up, uneven edges. Details in the knobs and twists were hardly visible. They looked like they were cast in someone's back yard. And, they were matte black. I called to ask why I got matte black, and they said I had to take a closer look. Only with a magnifying glass could I see faint bronze specs that were not visible to the naked eye. I tried to return them, but was told I could not due to the special (nearly invisible) coating. My total bill was 489.82 for 14 balusters. I attempted to use them on the exterior of my home, but the person installing the railing showed me a superior cast iron baluster at a fraction of the cost. These were just too ugly to be used anywhere. I feel completely ripped off by C.O. Iron Works, Inc. The photos on their website were very different from the product I received.
