Just like so many others have said, STAY AWAY FROM THIS GROUP!!! I knew that there would be an Anesthesia charge for 20 minutes of sedation, related to the procedure. What I WAS NOT told, is that there would be TWO charges. One charge for the Anesthesiaologist and another charge for his nurse. It was a COMPLETE SHOCK when their bill arrived. Each bill was for 1138 totalling 2300 from this group alone! Not to mention, that they are NOT contracted with most all insurance companies. Meaning, you will owe what they charge. This will never happen to me again! BEWARE!! Ask for the name of the Anesthesiologist group before any procedure and inquire if this group will be involved at all. Make sure you are fully aware of what they will charge you, including their additional nurse charge. This is a hard bill to get at anytime. Getting a bill like this, during a Pandemic economy, makes it even worse.

The actual procedure was fine, but i received a 2000 surprise bill for anesthesia shortly afterwards. No luck with my insurance company paying anymore so I'm stuck with it. Check before you move ahead with any procedures, I didn't. The facility can be in network and some providers within not and they don't have to tell you until afterwards. A hard lesson to learn.

We are also dealing with issues stemming from our providers’ usage of Grand Canyon Anesthesia during my husband’s procedure at Desert Endoscopy center. We have a relatively robust PPO plan from Cigna and received close to 2,200 in bills related to anesthesia services. One for nurse and another from anesthesiologist. Literally word for word as others have described in their reviews :( Mind you, as a preventative screening procedure was performed by desert endoscopy, all our other bills were 100% covered by our plan. To say we were shocked to receive these bills from Grand Canyon ten months after the procedure is an understatement. And then to send a letter along with balance bill statement requesting for us to do the legwork with insurance company to get bill paid - all horrible practices. This is the type of medical billing that sends people running from having these kinds of potential life-saving, cancer detecting services. Medical billing reform cannot happen fast enough. Companies like this need to be gone.

Same as everybody else, I was pre approved in network with my Dr., anesthesiologist and surgery center for my colonoscopy March 2020. I received two bills, each for 175 . First one in December 2020 and the 2nd in January 2021 and this is after my insurance paid the negotiated above average amount. I would be on board also if a class action lawsuit were to come about.

Thanks to all the folks below, I was able to get check that it was this org doing this before a colonoscopy procedure and was able to opt out of getting it done before getting stuck with bills. I tried to call them and get confirmation reg. their billing practices to no avail from them. So went ahead and opted out. In today's day and age we spend longer time figuring out where to eat by endlessly scrolling thru phone apps, and will recommend anyone to skip service from a shady practice with low ratings like this org and lack of billing transparency.
