Had a nice but TOO SLOW OF A RIDE. Felt like I was on one of those kids rides in a pen going in a circle. Very beautiful scenery, Im just a more advanced rider for that type of ride.

Lots of hiking and mountain biking trails. Great place for some good sunset/sunrise pics. Bring lots of water as some of the trails are pretty decent walks. Many good parking spots to just sit, chill & blow some dro roads up the mountain close around 6. Beautiful place. All around. 10/10 would recommend.

Dogs allowed, at least on the trails I looked up, and there seem to be several trails to hike from different entrances. Not very difficult, up and down and up and down on the lay area I went to. The main trail was fun, and had a little stone house-like structure at the top.

South Mountain is the largest city park in the country, and you can tell. I've hiked here for almost four years now and haven't even touched on the vast amounts of trails. You definitely need to have an app like Trailforks to help guide you through the tangled mess of trails. Even so, you'll find hikes and bike rides for all levels.

Awesome views, well maintained trails, nowhere as crowded as Piestewa peak on the weekend (unless you drive to the lookouts)
