JMJ...What a JOY to find so many Catholic Churches during my visits to Phoenix. St Agnes is a lovely little Church which is another house of worship and prayer filled with many images meant to make the mind transcend worldly bondage and pursuits. Very simple in its decor but it does house many side altars with statues depicting many friends (we call them Saints) of Jesus Christ whom we believe to have finished their earthly pilgrimage and are now in Heaven for all eternity! Lovely Church for quiet, prayerful meditations.

Historic parish from before Phoenix Diocese was founded. School is in good shape, older but neat looking. The old convent is now a retreat house. The staff is very helpful and took time to show me around. Once within the grounds, you can't really hear the traffic from 24th Street. It's a beautiful gem in midtown, although the surrounding area is not as nice.
