Had the best long weekend in Feb. The gift of a snowfall and hiking/biking trails right from our door. The cabins are very clean, very comfortable and came with great recommendations for food and hikes. Full of natural light, mountain views and the deck was fantastic even with the low temps. Hike to Sunset point you won't be disappointed!
We went for a quick getaway and it was perfect! The cabins are close together but still feel very private. Each cabin has a large balcony with comfy chairs and hooks for a hammock (which I highly enjoyed!) Everything was so clean and cozy. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen has everything you’d need to make a meal. The grounds are so nice, I wish we could have stayed for yoga on the amphitheater. We were very pleased and will be returning in the future!
We loved it and included in that we is our Pup! So comfortable there. Not far from east hikes or hard hikes, if you want to go into Asheville, it’s not a bad drive. We are picky about what we eat so the kitchen was great and coffee maker, there is a cute little market down the road that is basically a mini Whole Foods. We’d go back.
Everything about Pilot Cove is spectacular. The location is superb! The property is tucked away, quite and private; yet in the heart of everything you would want to do in the Brevard/Pisgah Forest area. Everything you need is within reach and easy to access, plus it is a mile or so of some top breweries, restaurants and shops. This place is perfect for those who want to relax or want adventure. If you want some outdoor adventures you are coming to the right place. The Pisgah Forest is literally Pilot Coves backyard. We enjoyed hiking, waterfalls, mountain biking and kayaking. The cabins are luxury, eco friendly, clean and the perfect place for a getaway with all the amenities you could ask for. The beds are incredibly comfortable, and we woke up refreshed and ready to explore the property and Brevard! I LOVE the private forest view decks which we enjoyed our morning coffee and I where I practiced yoga each morning. Also they provide Hammocks so its perfect to relax. It comes with everything you need in the kitchen if you choose to stay in and cook; which was great! Comes equipped with washer/dryers as well as detergent which was great for those of you who like to get outdoors and go on adventures. The cabins have AC and blackout curtains as well which provided a great atmosphere and sleep. A special shoutout to Property Manger Syl Neel who went above and beyond to make suer we had a fantastic stay and everything we needed. He truly set the bar for customer service! Pilot Cove is now what I call my "happy place" So much so that after our first visit we were back within a month for a repeat stay. We cannot wait to come back during the fall months and see the beauty the change of season brings.
This place is a gem! Perfectly located at the base of the Pisgah Forest. We were lucky to have fantastic fall weather, so we enjoyed a lot of time on the porch. You are far enough away from highway below to feel secluded, but close enough to have access to anything you might need. We will most definitely be staying at Pilot Cove for years to come.
If you're looking for a place to stay to go mountain biking in the area, Pilot Cove is a fantastic option. The one-bedroom cabin was perfect--immaculately clean, beautiful deck/view, lovely furnishings and everything you could need (including a full kitchen, washer/dryer, bike storage area and a bike wash). Location is great--literally, the edge of Pisgah National Forest, 20 minute drive to DuPont and 10 minutes from Brevard--we found some really great restaurants and fun shops. Be prepared for a STEEP climb on the way up if you bike down to the Hub or Pisgah, but other than that, can't say enough good things about our stay.
