I drove over an hour to visit and get some handpicked tulips for a special event. I wish the whole field had bloomed but it was still a lot of flowers! Now the customer service was a bit strange. I noticed at the entry the workers were chatting up everyone else around me but when I came to pay my 5, I couldn't get a greeting. I was still nice and polite. Then when I finished picking the flowers and headed to pay for them... the lady behind the counter was asking everyone in front of me was this their first time? had they like it And so on. I was preparing to give her my thoughts. She said NOTHING to me. I greeted her and she acted as if she couldn't hear me with my mask on. The lady's in front of me had their mask on too. But she heard them . I just noticed there was a CLEAR difference in treatment with customers. And I'm not here for it! So even though I loved the beautiful flowers and the short road trip. I won't go back.

We visited at the beginning of April, so we didn't get to experience all the Tulips in their glory. There we're only two half rows of yellow tulips left. Understandable since it's end of season. There were two full rows of irises though that were beautiful! They had a wonderful photo-op area with a playground and a playhouse for kids! It would be the perfect place for a picnic. The only reason I'm rating four stars instead of five, is because I don't think they should charge full admission price if there's only two half rows of tulips.

Quite a drive out for us, but totally worth it. The people who work there are really nice and the tulip fields were stunning. I didn't know that there was so many different varieties of tulips! Absolutely kid friendly, plus 12yrs & under are free. Photo-ops galore! **TIP: At the stands where you get your flowers wrapped, they have a bucket of "orphaned" tulips. You can find some beautiful gems in there that are available for the picking. I found some gorgeous tulips that I did not see in the fields and added them to my bouquet. Such a lovely place, can't wait to come back next year when we'll be closer!

UPDATE Late Mar 2021. Back after long absence. Weather was great for us and lucky as many tulips had just bloomed earlier in week. Lots of friends and families in attendance taking lots of photos. Admission is now 5 per head and you pay for each tulip picked. Timing is everything from the weather to the crowds. Good luck. (1st visit 2017) Lots and lots of tulips to choose from to decorate. Watch for the specials and offers in the spring. Cross your fingers the weather is good to the flowers.

SUPER CUTE!! I do highly recommend going here! The flowers were extremely pretty!! I came with a photographer to get some family photos and we had to pay a 25 photography fee yet there was no area that was FOR taking photos and it was highly congested with people so in all of our photos we had people in the background, so the fee didn't make sense. It is a 5 for admission and free for kids under 1yr old. Each flower picked was 2.50. Tulips are flowers that don't last too long, mine lasted about 4 days. Some of the rows of tulips were very bare (I don't know if that was just because they were over picked or what). It is also very windy!! Face masks are not required! It isn't the best spot for little kids with lots of energy as there isn't much for them to do but there is a spot with hay they can run around in! Overall I think it is a great place!

I would highly recommend going when it first opens and not waiting. I'm not really sure how to word this review without making it sound like it's "Texas Tulips" fault for people's lack of care and courtesy. Way too many people blocking rows for too long trying to take the perfect picture. People left trash, they stepped through the flowers to get to the next row instead of walking around. The Tulips themselves were lovely. Going at the end of the day you don't get to see a many of the Tulips since most have been picked by then. I was able to snap a few quick pics.

Our trip was on Mar 22 2021. Very disappointed. Some flowers had dried up. Some of them were buds. Some tulips were plucked from the plants by the visitors. Very few rows of bloomed flowers. An hour of driving went in vain. Above all, family members were disappointed. Probably, the weird Dallas weather (snow storms) affected the growth and blooms. We appreciate the efforts of the people that planted and nurtured the tulip plants.

Beautiful!!! We'll be back again soon and are ordering bulbs online!! Please be respectful and pull the tulips how the BIG SIGN tells you to do so, don't pull the bulbs out!! Note- wear good shoes, maybe bring a back up pair if yours get muddy. Definitely worth the drive, we suggest you go early in the day, less people in the fields. See y'all again soon!!
