Interesting to walk around and read the headstones from the 1800s and then look up to see how the cemetery is surrounded by evidence of time continuing on.

This cemetery has a lot of Dallas history buried under the grass and some historic markers that explain who and what they did to some extent. Thankfully after years of public debate the city has removed the Confederate monument that has been standing here in front of the Dallas Convention Center.
Really a great place to stop by and spend a few minutes if you like to relive the old West pioneer days in your mind. Wonderful, detailed sculptures of longhorns, horses and cowboys in a beautiful scene.
1st time here, a historical park. Just heard on the news that the Confederate statues are going to be taken away due to being offensive. My personal opinion is that history is history. And it happened, good or bad, it is meant for people to see and teach them what happened at a point in time. I dont personally think these statues were made to offend anyone or they probably wouldnt have been made. Just an opinion. Have alot more picts will sort and upload later. Thanks for looking.
This is a great place to explore if you are downtown and love history. There are tombstones here from the 1800s. This cemetery is small and walkable in daylight hours and close to other downtown attractions. I don’t recommend it at night because there are no lights.
