We loved the kitchen, dining, living room combo - quality of appliances and kitchen tools - the extra refrigerator, wood for the fire pit, hot tub ready to go, and great walks we had 12 ladies sharing the home and absolutely loved our time! Date of arrival - November 7, 2019
Every year, our family (14 of us) gets together to enjoy a family vacation, and Steve's place was the perfect spot to make lots of family memories. Steve has truly thought of \everything\, and the house and grounds are as described but so much better in person.
By far one of the best places myself and my family have stayed at in the many years of traveling together. The home is well equipped with anything and everything one might need for a weekend or week away with the family. The kitchen itself is an amazing layout for large groups and has all the pots, pans, dishes, silverware you and your guests will ever need. There is plenty of seating at the dinner table at this home that, from what I can recall, seats 10 people along with more at the huge island in the kitchen for those parties that have more than 10 guests. From what I can gather Steve, the owner of this home, put a lot of effort into finishing the trim with an incredibly beautiful wood that really makes for an amazing finish in this home. You really feel as if your in a luxury home being here. As a side note and preface my now wife and I had planned to put a sign that we had made for the celebration of our wedding over the fireplace in this home and although it may have sounded ridiculous to even ask the owner of this home to modify his decoration he was more than willing to work with me and my wife to move some things to make way for our sign. From my perspective that seems like a huge bonus to have a home owner be willing to work with their renters regardless of how silly it may be. Needless to say it didnt make me feel like I had rented a place from someone who only cared about the profit but from someone who cared about the comfort of said people renting his property. While I haven't seen much advertisement for this on the websites I've seen regarding this home there is actually an incredible trail system that goes around the property for a nice leisure walk with the family and a great place to take pictures for wedding photo shoots. That is if you really enjoy wooded mossy areas in the background. There is also a nice little stream within the trail system that is well maintained! I can say this without a doubt. You will not regret your stay at this place.
We were recently married at Olympic View Cabins, a property adjacent to the Olympic Foothills Lodge. 13 of our wedding guests comfortably stayed together the wedding weekend at this lodge. The property was clean and well-maintained, likely as a result of the meticulous detail to signage and instructions by the owners. The listing description is accurate and the manager, Lani, was an outstanding example of professionalism and friendliness. We enjoyed communicating with her leading up to, during, and after the event. We would absolutely recommend this property to groups of friends and families, especially if you want a convenient location to other exciting activities the Olympic Peninsula has to offer.
