In the middle of the bar action you can find Porta which serves really delicious pizza! Outdoor, indoor and rooftop seating, however today on a Saturday the rooftop only opened at 4pm. The outdoor seating on the pedestrian walkway had heaters, large tables with benches, and pretty string lights that really set the mood to spend a great night with friends and family, as well as furry friends!

I ventured into this establishment with a sole expectation -- one of good company and a rumbling stomach from traversing across the great divide, more aptly known as the Holland Tunnel, I was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere and the food. On the top floor I was greeted by a bustling college aged crowd, and contemporary decor. Unable to endure the thirty minute wait, and silence the bellows of my breadbasket, I followed my girlfriend into the basement floor as I was greeted by two very happy, albeit very drunk dancers dancing like cobras to a snake trainer DJ. It was also here that I lost half of my hearing and voice attempting to carry a conversation as I waited for my order. Oh. I almost forgot, the pizza was good too.
We went last night and the server took almost 15 minutes to get drinks. The ambience was really good.. The most surprising thing was, they served Prosecco in water glass!! We ordered Mozzarella along with our drinks and it came after another 10 minutes. We ordered one pizza - Lars and the real girl, it was little salty and pasta - Tuesday Night which was good. Overall it wasn’t a great experience..
Awesome food! We ordered pasta and pizza and both were very good. Crust of pizza was well done and sauces were up to the mark. Very flavorful. We also ordered Risotto which we didn’t like much but they were generous enough to replace it with Pizza. Would definitely recommend this place. Scrumptious dinner !
