Polite crew at this location needs basic training on how to handle and verify travel documents other than US/Canadian passports. Yesterday, they showed lack of confidence by saying to my wife "You need a visa for your flight to YVR", despite the fact that she had US green card and an eTA expiring in 2024. A few years back, a lady there uttered the same line to my mother upon seeing her US green card. It only waste their time and passenger time and also of people in queue, as they burn valuable time and consult among themselves and on calls to their HQ.

Worst experience ever. First, they denied boarding for my wife and daughter in Portland OR after flight confirmations. The agent was rude. They were traveling from Portland Oregon to Taipei Taiwan. After an absolute chaotic trip of rearranging flights my family finally got to Taiwan to visit mom and dad, uncles and aunts. Then, my wife came back early while my 13 year old daughter stayed with an aunt to visit. Once again all was conformed with AC. Or so we thought. My daughter is returning the 4th of Aug. We inquired about, and purchased the AC services for an unaccompanied minor. My wife thought that all was well and returned home with daughter still in Taipei. AC calls and tell us they have no service to accompany minors! So the agent made a mistake. Have spoken with AC representatives for hours to try to gets someone to walk her through a flight connections in Vancouver. So now we are trying to figure out how a 13 year old can travel from Taipei, to a major international airport (Vancouver BC) and navigate customs and make her connecting flight. My daughter has never travelled alone. She doesn't even walk to school alone! A 13 year old girl. Alone. Thanks AC. Never again. Even with the invoice showing we paid AC for unaccompanied minor services sold to us by the agent, AC has denied this safety service for a minor and so now we don't know whether to cancel this flight and take the financial hit, drive to BC and get our daughter there, or what. Its been an absolute nightmare from start to finish. DO NOT FLY AIR CANADA.

Air Canada has the worst customer service I have ever dealt with and that is saying something. First they kept changing my flight and layover times. When I called to resolve it I was put on hold for hours then it would drop the call. I called separate times at different hours of the day thinking that call volume was the issue and the same thing happened. I decided to canceled the flight. Then I had to submit for a refund or credit on there website, which I still have not received a response from months later. I don't understand how they get away with treating customers this way. They definitely lost my business.

The young woman at the gate June 3rd 2019, and doing check in is the nastiest person I've ever seen with an airline. If AC is checking reviews I don't have her name, it was the 7am fought from Portland to Vancouver BC. I fly back and forth from Canada to the US often, I will never use AC again and will tell my colleagues, friends and family to do the same.

I have often had to wait 45 minutes to 2 hours on hold to ask a question or make a change to a booking. Terrible customer service!

Worst airlines experience. Booked tickets with them 3 weeks before the trip and got the email receipt. In addition, also received an email of check-in notification from them the day before the trip. When when we showed up at the counter at 5:30am on the day of the trip, we were told the payment didn't go through, hence we couldn't board. As a result, I offered to pay on the spot. The agent had to call someone to process the payment, but she was out on hold for 15 minutes. Then she didn't know how to process it and had to take step-by-step instructions over the phone. It took her anothe 20 minutes to do it. When everything was completed, we already missed the cut off time. The final outcome.was we missed out flights and had to pay a hundred dollars more to buy tickets from another airlines to fly in that day. When I complained to be agents about the terrible experience, they told me they were not employees of air Canada but their contractors. ( This was at Portland, OR airport.) The whole experience shows without doubt air Canada is a completely messed up organization. DO NOT fly it! We certainly would NOT ever again.
