I had a 3 pm appointment yesterday and left the salon around 4:30. An hour and a half for a hair cut and for a half way blower that was not even done. (The hairdresser used a weird comb to blow-dry my hair and that gave me a lot of frizz). I completely understand that the students need to check with their teachers in terms of how well they are cutting hair, but realistically for someone with a job, being in a salon for more than an hour seems like a lot. Lastly, I didn't even know I could give tips to the hairdresser and that wasn't an option at the front desk. For the future I think it will make more sense for the staff to communicate to the person that's getting their hair done that the procedure is going to take and hour and a half.

Wow! Wow! Wow! What can I say?! Every time I get a service here, I am always welcomed with a warm smile, a genuine hello, and some tasty Aveda tea! I love the atmosphere, the staff, and the students! I love helping the students learn how to become all they can be and reach their full potential whether that be in hair, skin, or nails. It’s always so fun when I come in for any service! Thank you to all of the students I have seen and all of their wonderful instructors who are so patient and kind and take their time to teach their students how to be rockstars. Attached are just a few of the amazing hair styles that I have had because of Aveda students and the out-of-this-world potential that they possess! Nicole Romiti has been an absolute Godsend. She’s gotten me through the entire Admissions process with such professionalism and guidance. Any question I had she answered. Any issues I had she handled straight on. I feel so reassured whenever I speak with her. Classes start in a week and Nicole has made it so I never doubt my decision in choosing Aveda. If my program is even half as efficient as she is, I know I’m in the best hands for Cosmetology in Portland. I can’t wait to start! Thank you again Nicole!
They really put safety first..everyone there is on the same page about having a safe experience. Thank u Hanna for an excellent facial..she was skilled, professional and not at all rushed..I will be back for sure..very good value and no one is pushy.. Her Instructor was very nice as well...also I really appreciated the online reservation system and how fast I was able to get an appointment.
I had a student give me a hair cut and she did an amazing job, shoutout to Caroline Patterson, an amazing hair stylist.
