I recently opened a Custom Jewelry Studio and needed some display cases for displaying jewelry and gemstones to attract passerby's. We wanted the displays to be robust and industrial looking but not too fancy so they would not distract from the jewelry we were showcasing. Brian at FAB PDX recommended using some scrap steel tubing in combination with reclaimed wood to compliment the reclaimed materials we were already using in the interior design of our studio. We had him weld the scrap tubing into steel stands for our cases which turned out amazing. It was not a huge project like some of the others that he has worked on but he was enthusiastic and had it done within a couple days. As craftsman and industrial designer myself, after seeing the quality of his welding and attention to detail, we were very pleased with the results. We will definitely go to him for future fabrication projects. If you need something unique built I recommend you go see FAB PDX first.
