As a native German living in the states I can without a doubt say that this was the best-tasting German food that I have had since leaving Europe - and I have tried numerous restaurants like this in the Portland area. The food almost has a home-cooked quality to it that we really enjoyed. Everything we ordered tasted incredible. This is one of our new favorite places to eat. Do not miss out on the opportunity to eat some actual authentic German food!

When it comes to authentic German cuisine Otto and Anita's Schnitzelhaus.... Is by far the best in the PNW, from main coarses to special featured fare.... Once your palette has been dazzled by the dish of your choice, it is time to send your taste buds off to dreamland with one of their many delicious homemade dessert options. Try them out.... Even if you have to plan a special trip for this opportunity, you your taste buds /palette and stomach will be begging for another trip to Otto and Anita's Schnitzelhaus just as soon as possible!
I couldn't possibly put into words good incredible the food alone is. I always order the dill pickle soup with each meal, if I'm not getting their special I'll usually have their liver. Though the schnitzel is fantastic as well! The service from the owners is heartwarming and always makes my partner and I feel welcome. The seasonal beers will make you miss seasons you don't even like just to try them again. Cant say enough about this wonderful place
Absolutely delicious!!! Ordered the chicken weinershnitzel with Swiss cheese and pickle soup. Staff was very charming and price was comparable to other German restaurants in the area. All around great experience.

WOW!! Everything was amazing! We knew it would be good but everything was even better than we were expecting! It you haven’t been here, you need to go.
This restaurant is superb and spacious, the meals was yummy and the rates were very inexpensive. fast, productive service and very amiable staff. Recommended.
Very good food, large portions and very friendly staff. Appreciated attention to cleanliness and Covid safety protocols. Will order meals to pick up again soon.
