I have been to many kayak spots around the US and this one gave us the nicest Kayaks I have ever rented. We took a Tandem which was very easy to steer. The staff is friendly, directions clear and it’s a beautiful kayak ride.

Just got back from an overnight kayak trip to Little Chepeague Island. Fantastic experience and our guide, Melanie, was awesome. We had some strong winds and waves so changed island destination which was a good call by Portland Paddle. The camping was amazing. Would highly recommend for anyone with some solid kayaking experience.

My boyfriend and I decided to book the Fort Gorge's kayak tour. We had Ashley as our guide and she was absolutely amazing. From the introduction to paddling, to explaining the kayak path, and timing of the day it was the perfect trip. We were able to keep the day moving and even had extra time to go check out the baby seals on a rock before the time was up.

Did the Fort Gorges guided sea kayaking trip with Brian at Portland Paddle and it was amazing. As someone who is a little intimidated by going out on the water like that, he was very reassuring, a great leader, and clearly super comfortable out on the water. Very informative mini history lesson once we reached the fort and gorgeous views all around. Cannot recommend more - would do it again next time in town!

I wanted to take private sea kayaking lessons. I took the beginner I & II classes as well as the sea rescue class. The instructors for the classes were professional, extremely knowledgable, answered all of my questions, calmed my nerves with their knowledge and kindness, and made the learning experience loads of fun! I chose to do solo lessons but they also offer class lessons. I can't wait to get out on the water! I highly recommend Portland Paddle for fun and learning!

Really kind and knowledgeable staff! We had a blast on the SUP for like 1.5 hours. Really nice beaches and there was a tiny island we could paddle to. I would suggest some water shoes since we wished we had some but not necessary! Overall a blast!

Portland Paddle is a very well-run kayak and SUP guide outfitter and rental shop. Highly recommend. Talented and experienced guides are friendly and well-trained. I am impressed with their creative yet careful offerings during the pandemic. Very grateful for the opportunity to paddle Portland Harbor in a quality boat on a nice summer morning. Great for beginners and advanced alike.

Great experience. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. The prices are super reasonable, we live in Portland and instead of buying a kayak and storing it and transporting it, we just rent from PP whenever we want to go to Fort Gorges, our favorite city park. I couldn’t recommend more highly, whether you live in Portland or are visiting for just a minute.
