An outdoor company that does not stand behind their gear. After 4 years my 399 cosmic jacket is falling apart and the waterproof lining is deteriorating. Trew offered me the same discount they were offering everyone which was 20%. While I appreciate the offer 20% off is completely inadequate. Go with a company that stands behind their gear and has a real warranty...

I'm only posting publicly because my last purchase of a TREW product didn't work out as well as my first purchase. Like others here, I was a \customer for life\..I appreciate made in the USA and do everything I can to support operations such as TREW. Note you will pay more for their products but I demand a product which will stand up to a certain amount of punishment which goes along with snowboarding in the Utah Mountains. To make a long story short, I bought TREW at a local shop in Michigan about 10 years ago when they were first starting out. 2x the price of other bibs but you can just tell they were high quality. They were awesome. Never showed any signs of wear no matter what and were completely waterproof in the seat area. I bought a new pair in 2015 sight unseen because the first pair I bought were large size and I should have bought medium size. I had the same expectations from the second pair as the first. Wow was I wrong. I've worn the second pair about 6-8 times a year over 4 seasons and the outer material is garbage. They are worn out in the seat and allow moisture to penetrate the bib..an absolute disaster. I contacted TREW and they are VERY NICE about the situation and offered to sell me a new pair with better fabric for 50% of the asking price to make amends. While I appreciate this gesture, it sounds like they knew about this problem already. While 50% is nice, the problem I have is I don't think I can trust this company completely as I had. Many people like me don't live in the area they ski or snowboard. I have to travel to these areas and I don't have time for my equipment to fail. One ruined day is one day too many. I don't expect gear to last forever but I do expect it to last more than 30-40 uses for a premium price. If this was cheap I wouldn't complain because you typically get what you pay for. I'd like to end this post that I'm not against TREW gear, but I didn't have a good experience.

Awesome gear manufacturer with a great little local shop. Bombproof gear, perfectly suitable for the often wet Cascade mountains.

I’ve always bought products online and loved the threads... finally swinging by the shop and meeting the family has made me sign up for life. Totally worth the stop! Awesome vibe and community creating outwear for more activities than just skiing.

Went in to the shop today to barter for a 5 panel hat with some beer and an ancient Trew hat that's had hundreds of ski and hike miles on it. The d00d working didn't like beer and apparently didn't see much trade in value on the old hat. I was rebuked. I'll have to reconsider my approach. One of those hats will be mine. Oh yes, she will be mine.
