Do not trust these people with your sensitive personal information such as SSN's DOB's etc... They have a disgusting disregard for security of sensitive information. I got a call from Mrs Portman asking where to send a sensitive document. I called her back and provided my current mailing address. She called me back acknowledged she received my message (containing my current address) and told me she was mailing it to my OLD address. She either is spiteful or has dementia. I called her back TWICE asking her where she mailed it. And again EACH TIME providing my current address for a total of 3 times. Each time SPELLING MORRO BAY!!! I NEVER got a call back apologizing for mailing it to my old address the FIRST time. I had to go to my old address and ask the new residents for it. Then they mailed out a second copy to my current address. This seriously made me laugh so hard I dropped the document when I received it in the mail. After giving them my address 3 times and spelling Morro Bay 3 times. They still mailed it to the nonexistent Laurel Bay California.. it's not even a real city. Absolutely pathetic... How hard is it to spell MORRO BAY after I left 3 messages spelling out the name... Absolutely comically pathetic.

First time stop at Portman's for help with a new guitar. A string broke during tuning and when calling the store I connected with Simon who suggested I come in, that he would be the guy to see. He changed the string, showing me how to do it myself, answered a series of questions and even played me a tune. Offering a new player some words of encouragement, Simon sent this satisfied customer on his way. A good experience

It's where I go for our Church (50th st COC)sound equipment. Every time that I have gone there for the microphone problems we been having throughout the years..Mr, Richard in the back has always been very informative and helpful..thanks again Mr. Richard!

It’s the vibe of any typical music store, however they were very well-stocked very helpful to my needs - if not overbearing at some times. They had a wide range of products (but not really). If you like music, this is a store.

My grandpa past away and left his guitar to me . I’m an orchestra gal so I’m not new to strings but guitar was out of my comfort zone . Jeff went above and beyond for me today and I will only bring my grandpa guitar back to this store just for Jeff . He noticed my guitar was dated but did what he could to bring it back to the best playing condition possible! He could have simply told me what strings to buy and restrung it and sent me on my way but no ! He checked for extra problems , cleaned my guitar up for me , even taught me what each part of my instrument was for , down to medium and thin picks ! I can’t wait to learn more about guitars I’m actually going to sign up for lessons . So Jeff when I feel like I’m worthy I’m coming back for a brand new amp and a new guitar ! Thank you soo much . My grandpa would be so proud that I found someone to keep his guitar in good shape !
