Stingy. Charge you if you use tape or if you want USPS to pick up a package. Have used them a few times in the past...not worth it.

Good fast service and easy parking. Beats FedEx office. Lots of extras - mailbox, birthday cards. My kids love to hang out there.
the people there are friendly, BUT "Annex" means independent business, they have their profit margin on the post office prices, therefore be prepared to pay more. IN my case, I was asked to pay 24 for a small package abroad, when asked how much surcharge there is, I was told that it is 2-3 relative to the post office prices. 24 seemed expensive from my historical recollection of sending packages, so I left and took the same package to the closest real post office - 14. The difference therefore is 10. Not happy about being deceived. But if you are OK with it and just want convenience or smaller line during the Christmas season - people are polite and helpful
I have had the most AMAZING experience at the postal annex Del Mar.. I had an overseas emergency that needed to be taken care of asap, actually i had 2 emergencies.the staff were so helpful and i managed to get all my documentation off without any trouble. I am so grateful for their help and generosity, i actually live across the other side of San Diego but will always come here, for all things "Postal annex" orientated. Thank you!!! xxx

We went for passport pictures. They charged us 16 for film pictures shot with a 30 years old camera...that was out of focus! Everything is extremely expensive, even the keychains they sell are rusty and outdated. The reason why I give it 2 stars is because the staff was nice and kind.
I have been here twice and did not like the experience. They charged extra for a postage stamp, which is their right, I offered to buy an entire roll and it was 100 x the extra charge. Second time, the shipper needed to verify that a form was placed inside the box... they wanted to charge 2.00 to tape the box closed. I said no thank you, haven't been back. It is possible that it has changed hands since then since it has been more than a year.
They didn't even put the stamps on the envelope and so I was charged a ridiculous price just to have my envelope returned to me.
