it's a great little mural in what seems like the town's version of 'old town' or downtown. the mural has a great story behind the city honoring the 'Chinese' society who set the groundwork for the town's future. the mission is a short walk up the street and there's also a tiny 'museum' about firefighters that you see through a window display. a great hidden gem to stop and look at if you're in the area.

Pedestrian Mall has a great view of mission. Don't miss the mini-museum directly across the mall from the mural. Fire Dept. history including the Chinese Brigade is viewed through windows (24/7).
Very nice mural. I am glad to see that this part of the Ventura history is being kept here. Technically China Alley doesn't exist anymore. You will see a small gate not to far from the mural, built in the Chinese architectural style. And there's a small plaque saying "China Alley Office", but the gate was locked when I went there and alley is 20 feet long at most, flanked by walls. Regardless, it was great to see that at least this mural exists.
