Beautiful property. The rooms are simple but have everything you'll need. The pool area is fantastic. I'd recommend getting up early and heading down to the ocean cliff benches with a cup of coffee. Not sure life gets much better than that!

It's great to hear that Kalani is back in business and getting back to some of its former activities. I first visited here back in 2004 when there were campsites available. It was great to be able to use the pool and eat a meal in the all organic cafeteria. But what I enjoyed most was meeting the wonderful people who either worked, lived and/or volunteered at the Kalani Oceanside Retreat, as it was once called. The members, staff and guests alone were atuned to common goal: Revering the land, living in harmony with Nature and with others, and developing to one's greatest potential. I'm sure the revived Kalani is on a similar path.

I was fortunate enough to meet the new people running Kalani. I spent the day in this beautiful unique idealic place, where cell phones are not permitted and dont work here anyway. A private yet public open place, welcoming all from children to the young and old. Yes, a place to do estatic dance peacefully in a hall with others, no speaking, no phones is the norm in the large spacious well aired dance hall. Ok, so you have enjoyed a sweat and dance for a few hours. Ok lets go poolside to enjoy the exquisit manicured gardens, clean well kept pool, many seating areas and hot tub. Easy to enjoy a whole Sunday at Kalani. Take the day to be alone with others or meet some new friends. Small donation entry fee required to dance and pool. Facility offers additional accomodation and other programs such as yoga. Enjoy ;) J

As a volunteer I am able to live here for three months. It has been a freeing experience. I sleep in a tent in the jungle. The food is super healthy and fresh. Guests and volunteers alike love the land. There is daily yoga classes, dance and crafts. It's adult summer camp.

One of the most authentic, peaceful, joyful places on earth. The food is made with so much love you can taste it. The community is kind and giving and always there to help. Must stay here if you can!

Loved my Kalani experience! I stayed in one of the Hale's with 2 roommates and shared bath. The rooms are simple, but clean. The staff are what make this place so totally awesome. Everyone seems so happy to be there. The food was outstanding. During my week's stay, our yoga teacher training took caffiene and sugar completely off the menu. I thought I'd miss it terribly, but the food that the Kalani kitchen put together was outstanding. Highly recommend this place!

Went to the weekly dance at Kalani. Filled with wonderful, warm hearted hippies. Had a great time! I didn't stay at the retreat center, so I can't comment on that.
