Rented here for three months and moved into an apartment in terrible condition. In our three months there, maintenance never came to fix issues discussed and recorded on move-in, even after multiple requests. And after moving out, it took them multiple calls for them to return our security deposit. Before I arrived on move-in day, they conveniently left out that there were holes for A/C units in each room, even though there was only one A/C unit supplied. So, we moved into an apartment with two literal holes to the parking lot blocked only by slotted vents. What made it worse was that we were not allowed to securely cover up the holes. Other families stuffed pillows into these holes as some attempt for insulation. It was a decent size apartment with two bedrooms and good natural light, but because of the abuse but on the apartment, it was difficult to enjoy the space. The apartment was dirty, poorly kept, and displayed some very shoddy workmanship, including: doors didn't fit in the frames, a shattered bathroom mirror, a window in the interior shower than opened up to the dividing wall to two apartments (very weird), broken tiles in the kitchen, and multiple light switches that i not all on at the same time would shut off the A/C and outlets in other rooms. The hallways and mail rooms were always sticky and littered. The halls usually had a strange pungent smell, whose source I could not find and the 'laundry room' contained one washer and one dryer that were very old and in an unkept room. In all my years of renting and finding rentals online, this was by far the worst place I managed to sign at. I would suggest you rent anywhere else but here.

Never. And I mean never have I seen roaches this bad. If you believe them when they say they \control\ them they don't. This building should be condemned. If you try to break the lease. They will fight you tooth and nail and do anything possible to keep your security deposit. If anyone from the township reads this please for the love of God.. shut it down

This has been the worse building I have ever lived. There is no maintenance at all in this building. The apartments has an infestacion of roaches and bedbugs. We asked the owner to brake the lease agreement so we can move out and he did not agree. I have three kids one of them is a 7 months old and I cannot let them live in this unhealthy environment. The city of Rahway needs to do something about this building and needs to get in contact with the owner. In top of that, Shami Associates does not have an office, so they do everything through phone and a P.O Box, so there is no way for the tenants to go and complain. Do not rent here.

Worst...nightmare.. I don't know how people can live with roaches bed bugs..and dirty place... and don't say nothing ... All the time furniture and mattresses in the parking lot....Now I KNOW WHY...... BED BUGS.. people that rather to live in a better place have to throw all the belonging when they finally can move out... Fake office..with a p.o.. box number...will be the only communication tenants will have..... Thousand of phone calls with no luck... And the companies the hired for extermination ..are liers..( must be friend of lanlord)..saying there are no bug problem in the building... But city of Rahway came ...and they saw the roaches and bed bugs... DO NOT MOVE IN.... BUILDING ALWAYS DIRTY ..(we have to clean our hallway all the time..)..if you want to have a clean area.... Laumdry never work..they keep saying they have one under construction...but never happends.. Please post reviews..is the only way people do not move to horrible places as this fake Internet pictures buildings... None of the pictures show the reality...

This is not a good place to be because there are alot of roaches in the building and also if you wanna move from the building they will never give you your security deposit .
