Had my drive train reconditioned. Results were very good. Shipping and receiving went as planned. Website was helpful with the logistics. Cost was a little higher than expected. Would definitely use their services again.

When I began having speed control problems with my 40 year old Shopsmith, I was lucky to find a repair facility 80 minutes away in Raleigh, NC. I called Mr. Hopp, made an appointment, and took in the head unit. James called me in a week telling me what was needed and made the repairs quickly. I found him to be extremely knowledgeable about the machine and personable. I have no reservations recommending James if you even need Shopsmith repair work. My unit runs like new.

My Shopsmith of vintage 1981 has been in use all these years with no special servicing. The speed control started having some major issues and made it non-operational. I called and arranged to take the headstock in for service which seemed to be something that could be fixed the same day. Since l live a couple of hours away, I was interested in the same day repair. The repair to the speed control was completed as expected but other problems were also found with the unit that required repair including more time to complete the service. The additional service was completed in the same day even though the time went beyond normal business hours which I greatly appreciated given my drive home that evening. My unit is like new and I am very pleased with the service provided. I would recommend the Woodworking Academy for their expertise, reasonable repair costs, and going the extra distance for customer satisfaction. Bravo!
