If you’re into artisan crafts, I’d recommend stopping by here if you attend the NC State Fair! Just outside, near the white chapel is the blacksmiths.

Always the best part of the fair, unfortunate that it wasn't here this year.
Definitely a must see when visiting the state fair! Over 100 juried, talented heritage Craftsmen in period clothing demonstrating heritage Crafts. See potters, metalsmiths, gun makers, artists, spinners, basket makers, a Weaver weaving on a pre1757 loom and much more. The Craftsmen answer questions about their craft and there are hands on experiences as well. Actually a living museum during the 11 days of the fair each year. Truly something for everyone!
The Village has an amazing array of artisan crafts. I really enjoy seeing them working and all the finished items for sale! This is one of the highlights of the NC State Fair for me.
Love this place; there are some amazing craftspeople and very important traditions being honored here so I’d definitely recommend a visit to people of all ages.
