it's actually closed down and fenced off. (pictures attached) i'll still give it 5 stars for being clean and in real good condition. it's obviously a pretty historic part of the city and Route 66 as well. i'd like to come back and visit hopefully when it's open again in the future.

I think this is an awesome throw-back restoration on Historic Route 66. I remember thinking (many, many years ago) 'it is a shame that this historic gas station is deteriorating and nobody cares'... well it finally happened! The restoration looks great and brings back memories of a simpler time cruising up and down the boulevard...

This historical station has been completely refurbished with donated materials and labor to the original design and is a great remembrance of Route 66 and the years gone past. The station has a museum and shows historical artifacts of the area as well as the story of the station from the time it was built. I think it's a must stop for anyone that's interested in the Route 66 history. The docent are all volunteers, super friendly and well-informed in a variety of information of not only the station but the history of Route 66.

The renovation work was done so well that it won an award. Can't wait to see the inside. Must come when it is open.
