What used to be a great outdoor lap pool, is now pretty run down and most of all dirty. There’s a warning sign that the pool heaters don’t work, and if you swim in the evenings most of the lights are out. I actually went to the Aquatics department to ask them about the pool cleaning schedule, he said they were working on it, but it probably won’t be cleaned in the near future.

Great facility for almost all of your fitness needs. The Recreational Sports Center has basketball courts, gyms, racquetball rooms and more. I would mainly come to the facility for gym workouts, which can get a bit crowded towards closing hours, but usually isn't too bad.

I like the REC a lot because a lot less people go here than they would to Greg. Greg is constantly packed, but not a bad place however if you like smaller, less crowded gyms then I totally recommend REC. The gym space is really nice and spacious despite how it may look smaller. The gym is also really aesthetically pleasing because it is broken up into two symmetrical looking halfs. It reminds me a lot of my home gym with its ambiance as well. I think that there are a lot less people here even during the crowded moments so you can always grab some weights or have a a bench available. I think the thing that sucks is that there aren't a lot of squatting racks, only 3 or 4 i think. I know that a lot of people like to squat so just be prepared for a short queue if you are trying to come here and squat. Other than that, I think its a really nice gym that rivals Greg depending on what stands out to you about gyms!

Rec vs. Greg: Rec is very close to Clark Field that has a running track, turf field, and small calisthenics area. Rec weight room feels twice as big and significantly less smelly/ cleaner than Greg. Rec is always less crowded than Greg. The free lockers are larger. Greg has those fitness classes and swimming pool. You run into friends more often at Greg. You are more likely to see cool/get free stuff near Greg Plaza. Greg has the swimming pools and an indoor running track. Greg is closer for most people (by only a couple minutes walking). The Amazon store is at Greg, as well as a working quarter exchanging machine (for laundry or vending machines). Greg has more miscellaneous amenities like renting outdoorsy equipment (tents and such) and massage services.

Tons of dumbbells, tons of plates! Less crowded than Gregory, better music, nicer people. Still can get pretty crowded at times, but it's never a worse choice than Gregory. Fantastic place to lift heavy things. A real #perfectdayatx would include this, and not just to offset guilt from the rest of the day.
